TAGS: 'Action or Type' tags

This web site use TAGS to help tie related content together, ie. the 'Transmitter site' tag would list all posts about or related to the transmitter site. Tags, also known as 'categories' or 'key words', are used extensively for this purpose on major web sites like http://abc.net.au/ and http://flickr.com/. I recommend that you have a look there to further your understanding of 'Tagging'.

Some tags such as the 'Program tags' or 'Presenter tags' used on this web site are self explanatory and intuitive. It may not be so obvious when to use a 'Action or Type tags'. For your reference I have listed the current 'Action or Type tags' below.

For example, your next newsletter post will only appear in the 'Newsletters' list page when you have remembered to add the 'Newsletters' tag.

Type two or three letters of the tag you wish to use and the 'auto-complete' system used on this web site will, in a few seconds, display a list of tags that contain the letters you typed. Click on the desired tag and 'Bob's your uncle' as some would have it.

If you believe that there is a need for a new 'Action or Type tag' you may actually just type it in and email Webmaster to create a suitable Menu item for your new tag.
